Amy E. Herman on Visual Intelligence

This month I’d like to draw your attention to two exciting videos by two creators I mention in my blog “Releasing Creativity.” The first is by Amy Herman, author of Visual Intelligence: Sharpen Your Perception, Change Your Life. (2016) She provides ways to improve your skills of observation.

Quoting Wayne Dwyer she says, “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” She reinforces the idea that, since no two of us perceives the same thing, if we are to make sense together we need to not only observe the details and the big picture, but ask, the more beautiful question: “I see this, but is this really what I’m seeing?” “What are the perceptual filters I’m bringing to this scene?”

Download it for your run or work out, or simply block out some time and make a quiet moment to listen and learn with Amy Herman as she speaks to the folks at Google.
